Do you want a safe place for your dog to socialize with other dogs? Would you like additional help to improve your dog's manners, and life skills? Day School is just what you and your dog need in your life!
Day School offers a much more structured environment than a traditional daycare. It's a safe place for your dog to socialize with other dogs, and build confidence away from home! It's a combination of socialization and training, all in one! The training groups are kept small, so that I can focus more on each dog. It is a great opportunity for pushy dogs, fearful dogs, socially awkward dogs, and dogs that just get overwhelmed by traditional larger daycare settings.
Each day starts with pick up of your dog, and other day school friends. Day school sessions are 3 hours, and consists of a mix of socialization/play time, relaxation (how to just be chill around other dogs), and training time. Then each dog is returned home, and ready to relax the rest of the day!
This is not a drop-in service, like a traditional daycare. I require that each dog attend at least one day a week, in order to hold their spot. This is an ongoing training opportunity for each dog, and they will grow and develop much faster with consistent training, and bonds with their same dog friends each week.
Some of the real life skills your dog will work on while at school...
To be eligible for day school, dogs must ride well in the car, be at least neutral with other dogs, and want to learn! They cannot have a bite history with dogs, or people. For you as the client, you just need to be willing to support your dog, by consistently sending them to school, and keeping up with your end of the training.
If you are not a current or past training client of mine, then before enrolling your dog into dog school, a 30-45 minute meet & greet/evaluation session will be required. During this session we will discuss your training goals, and what you want your dog to get out of attending day school. Some dogs may not be ready to join school, and will need additional sessions before they can enroll. If this is the case, then we will come up with a plan for you and your dog going forward.
